The Bachelor of Science (BS) Biotechnology is designed in accordance with the provisions of HEC Undergraduate Education Policy V 1.1. that provides students with a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of biotechnology. This program encompasses a wide array of fundamental and advance courses ensuring students gain comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques as applied in the field of biotechnology. By integrating applied courses, the curriculum aims to prepare students to harness modern technological advancements for innovative biotechnological applications. Throughout the degree program, students will be trained in essential laboratory techniques and analytical methods through a range of courses involving laboratory work. This hands-on experience is incorporated in the scheme of studies to equip students with the skills necessary to conduct rigorous experiments, analyze complex biological data, and develop practical solutions to real-world problems. Students will also be able to learn how to navigate the ethical dilemmas and regulatory frameworks that are integral to responsible biotechnological practices, ensuring their work adheres to high ethical standards and contributes positively to society.
